The Bloom is a 4 piece indie rock/pop band formed in Perth, Western Australia in 2014.
Drawing from influences like the Arctic monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tame Impala and Band of Horses, the band has been Gaining traction in their new adopted city of London.
Their first 5 track EP ‘In The Sky’ will be released independently on May 19th and marks the start of the band establishing themselves as an ambitious new act in Europe.
As front man Luke says “I grew up listening to The Police and Talking Heads but also Rage Against The Machine and those sorts of heavier bands so I when I started writing my own music I really got into the craft of putting all these different elements together to write a song of my own”
Recorded in Perth, Western Australia, predominant Aussie producer Andy Lawson (Tired Lion, Eskimo Joe, Little Birdy, Gyroscope, End of Fashion) took the helm.
The mastering was taken care of by Brian Lucy (The Black Keys, Arctic monkeys, Ray Lamontagne, Sigur Ros) in Los Angeles, California.
The first single ‘How It Starts’ has reaches over 100,000 listens on Spotify and the second single ‘In The Sky’
has been getting radio play both in Germany and Switzerland.
The band has just booked it’s first European tour playing 15 dates across Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands the UK and France, in support of the EP release.
